The University of Lille is actively engaged in promoting its academic programmes internationally to attract top talent and enhance its global outreach.
Whether you are a student, researcher, or institutional partner, we come to meet you and present our unique study and collaboration opportunities.
At the same time, we are pleased to welcome our partners/future partners to visit our facilities in Lille and meet our colleagues in the different departments.
Our outreach initiatives
The University of Lille deploys its international outreach strategy through six main channels.
Student recruitment fairs and Webinars
Our university actively takes part in international recruitment fairs, which serve as key meeting points to strengthen our visibility abroad and showcase the excellence of our academic programmes.
These events allow us to promote our public university to high-quality prospective students and to answer all their questions, whether they relate to available programmes, scholarship schemes, or support services.
We also maintain a strong online presence through the organisation of region-specific webinars, either initiated by our university or co-hosted with Campus France teams within French embassies abroad.
Institutional fairs for academic cooperation
Our university is also actively involved in several institutional fairs dedicated to international academic cooperation, including EAIE (the European Association for International Education conference and exhibition). On this occasion, the University of Lille provides a booth for our faculties, institutes, and schools, enabling them to meet with current and future partners and to concentrate, within a short period of time, multiple meetings with universities from abroad. This initiative also helps position the University of Lille among the most active institutions in the field of international cooperation.
During student recruitment fairs, we also have the opportunity to visit our local partners and take part in institutional meetings that bring together other universities and local academic stakeholders.
Academic resources
The University of Lille provides various resources to present its educational offerings and activities.
Brochures for each department, distributed at student fairs, enable prospective students to identify the programs available to international students, with information on fields of study, research, and useful contacts.
Institutional brochures, flyers, and kakemonos complement these tools, providing an overview of the university, its centers of excellence, and student life.
Alumni network
The ULIAN Network – University of Lille International Alumni Network brings together international graduates of the University of Lille around values of solidarity and mutual support.
Created in May 2024 on World Alumni Day, it promotes exchanges between former and current students through testimonials, workshops, webinars, and networking events.
ULIAN highlights the career paths of its alumni and mobilizes them to support students in their professional integration and promote the University of Lille internationally.
Targeted actions
The University of Lille is carrying out tailored promotional activities to boost its international appeal and attract new students.
These initiatives, organized around the world and adapted to local contexts, aim to raise awareness of the university's academic excellence and the opportunities it offers.
Among the many initiatives, joint projects with the ULIAN network illustrates this dynamic.
Hosting delegations
International delegation visits are open to academic and administrative staff from foreign higher education institutions, as well as representatives from governments, research institutes, and other organizations interested in engaging with the University.
