Why joining ULIAN - University of Lille International Alumni Network ?

OUR HISTORY

Driven by the will to bring together a network of international alumni, ULIAN – University of Lille International Network was launched in May 2024, on World Alumni Day, an initiative led by Campus France.
The ULIAN network aims to bring together all international alumni of the University of Lille.
 

OUR MISSIONS AND COMMITMENT

Our network aligns with the values of solidarity and equal opportunities that are specific to the University of Lille. This commitment is structured around four fundamental areas: networking events, support for our students and recent graduates as they enter the professional world, alumni testimonials, and a mentoring programme. networking events, supporting our students and recent graduates as they enter the professional world, alumni testimonials and mentoring programme.

We have multiple missions:

• Developing an active, collaborative and committed network
• Building lasting relationships with our international alumni
• Supporting our international students at the end of their studies and our recent graduates (workshops on changing status, renewing residence permits, entering the job market, etc.)
• Supporting our alumni with various administrative matters: information and assistance with visas and residence permits, social assistance, taxation
• Informing and support our recent graduates in their professional integration
• Facilitating meetings and exchanges between our students, alumni and professionals, according to specific themes and areas of expertise
• Promoting the transfer of knowledge, expertise and advice in human resources, etc. through webinars, events, articles and testimonials
• Organising events, after-work gatherings and workshops
• Promoting the career paths of our international alumni

• Ultimately, offering a mentoring programme pairing students and alumni in pairs

   

OUR EVENTS AND HIGHLIGHTS

Throughout the year, our ULIAN network offers a variety of events:

• Webinars focused on professional development
• Workshops on professional development and administrative support
• Themed breakfasts and afterwork events

Three major highlightsare added to the events and workshops organised throughout the year:

• A networking evening in October
• In partnership with the EURAXESS Lille Hauts-de-France Centre, a ‘Researchers' Night’ evening bringing together postdoctoral researchers and PhD alumni from the University of Lille
• An evening event as part of the annual ‘France Alumni Day’ organised by Campus France, in May or June
