AEN / MAUI / REARI-RJ: Mobility programmes

The AEN, MAUI and REARI-RJ programmes enable students to study abroad from the 3rd year of a bachelor's degree to the second year of a master's degree. Dare to be mobile!

AEN / MAUI / REARI-RJ: what does it mean?

AEN is a mobility programme that enables students to travel to Australia.

A student exchange experience is more than an opportunity to study in another country. It is a chance to explore a new landscape, discover another culture, learn more about yourself and all that you are capable of, and make lifelong friends in the process.

The list of Australian partner universities can be found directly on the programme website.

MAUI is a mobility programme that enables students to study at universities in the American Midwest.

When students think about studying in the United States, New York or Los Angeles are usually the first places that spring to mind. But there are many reasons not to pass up the "flyover" states, such as: quality education, affordability, history, and natural beauty.

The list of American partner universities can be found directly on the programme website.

REARI-RJ is a mobility programme that enables students to study at Brazilian universities in the Federal state of Rio de Janeiro.

With more than 450 years of history, it is the combination of geographical features – the sea, the mountains, the forest – and human presence that guarantee Rio de Janeiro its unique status.

The list of Brazilian partner universities can be found directly on the programme website.

Participation terms

  • Be enrolled in at least the 2nd year at the time of application, for a 3rd year mobility (ULille condition)
  • Have an excellent academic record (some programmes require a minimum GPA to be eligible)
  • Proof of English language proficiency. American and Australian universities generally require a level equivalent to C1 of the CEFR. PLEASE NOTE: it is your responsibility to check on the partner university's website what language proof is required in order to prepare for your mobility!
REARI-RJ: only a few universities offer courses taught in English, so the majority of courses are taught in Portuguese. In both cases, you will be asked for a document certifying your level in the language (B2 minimum).
