Prepare and fund your mobility

If you are heading abroad as part of your course at the University of Lille, check out our guide!

Caution: we remind you that it is forbidden to travel in a country at risk (red and orange zones, examples: terrorist risk, climate risk, country at war). Also, before choosing your country of mobility, we invite you to check the risk level of the country: www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/conseils-aux-voyageurs/conseils-par-pays-destination - in the "Sécurité" section of the country of mobility. (in French)

You are also responsible for:

- checking the conditions of reception and exit from the country (whether or not the borders are closed)
- reading the clauses of their compulsory insurance before moving abroad. It is strongly recommended to take out a repatriation insurance including the pandemic risk.
- regularly consulting the "Dernière minute" section for the country of mobility: www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/fr/dossiers-pays/ (in French)

The Franco-Dutch network facilitates contacts and stimulates knowledge-sharing with a view to supporting the implementation of Franco-Dutch programmes in higher education and research. It encourages the mobility of lecturers, researchers and students, in particular by providing financial assistance.

EOLE grants are intended for master’s-level students and doctoral researchers across all fields so they can take part in study or research trips or traineeships in the Netherlands. They are awarded according to strict criteria to select the best projects.

Worth €500-€1000, these grants particularly target doctoral researchers required to spend time conducting research in the Netherlands as part of their PhD. They can also be used to contribute to the smooth running of joint thesis supervision initiatives.
