Fellowship & Relocation grant




 ➤ Applications for Fellowship & Relocation grants and application for the Master’s tracks are two different procedures. You will find more information on how to apply to the Master’s degree programme on the relevant web page or by contacting the person in charge (see links to the Master programmes on the web page of each Graduate Programme).

⇢You must submit 2 separate applications.

➤ The Graduate Programme Office is only in charge of  the selection of Fellowship  & Relocation grant laureates. The Heads of the Master tracks are responsible for the selection for entry into the Master Programme.

⇢To know the status or the result of your application to the Master, please refer directly to the head of the Master track. 

➤ If you are accepted to one of the Masters tracks that make up the Graduate Programme but were not selected for a scholarship, you are still part of the Graduate Programme. If you were selected for a scholarship but were not accepted to the Master programme or did not complete your year, you would not be eligible for the scholarship.

⇢ To benefit from the Graduate Programme scholarships, you will need to confirm your acceptance to the Master.

2nd call for Fellowships & Relocation Grants (Deadline 15 June)

☑️ Eligibility: This call is open to students intending to enroll in a master track of the graduate programme in the next academic year, at M1 or M2 level. Special attention is given to applications from foreign or other French universities, but applications from students of ULille are also welcome.

☑️ Grant allocation criteria: Selection will be based on the following criteria:

  • Academic criteria, based on the study track followed, the academic record, and the institution of origin
  • Professional project and consistency with the scope of the Graduate Programme

*The terms and conditions of scholarships are pending final approval from the board of governors of the university. 

☑️ Amount: The scholarship (3500 €) covers one academic year and is paid in two times, at the beginning of the first and second semesters. For foreign students enrolling for the first time in a French university, it can be supplemented by a one-time lump sum relocation grant (3500 €). The scholarship can be renewed once. (after academic registration*, upon presentation of a certificate of registration at the University of Lille, as well as proof of physical presence at the University of Lille)

*exception Graduate programme Precision health: after the academic results of the first semester upon presentation of the academic results.





Guidelines for online application

Please read carefully the following guidelines and adhere to them while completing the online application!

The application form must be filled out in English or French

The online application form is divided into different steps, each associated with one page. All registration steps can be modified prior to final submission of the application (final step). 

Fully completed application must be submitted online before the deadline 

All the documents indicated as mandatory must be provided through the application form. 

If you submit more than one application, only the most recent one will be considered.

After submission of your application, you will receive an automatic acknowledgement of receipt by e-mail (check your spam box if necessary).

Do not forget that students applying for a fellowship and who would register in a French university for the first time are eligible for a relocation grant.

Upload required documents

If you meet all the requirements and wish to apply for the Graduate Programme fellowships and relocation grants, the following list of documents should be attached to the application in PDF format:

  • Curriculum Vitae, detailing your education and degrees obtained (with indication of global grade average and rank when possible), your work experience including internships, certificates and awards, skills and any information that may help to assess your application.
  • Certified copy of your degree(s) (add an English translation if necessary) or certificate of registration from your university (for final year students)
  • Transcript of marks for the last two years. 
  • Copy of official language certificate showing English language skills
  • Passport (or valid identity document)
  • two reference letters by teachers or researchers who have spent some time with you. They should explain in which circumstances they have known you and then describe what they think are your qualities and strengths, and why they think we should award a scholarship to you.
  • Any other document you consider useful for the application

All the documents indicated as mandatory must be provided through the application form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.  If you are missing a mandatory document, please attach a text file explaining your situation.
