Integration and arrival

Buddy system for international students

The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) has put in place a buddy system to support international students. All international students who wish to do so can register to take part, and the ESN will find them a student from Lille who shares similar interests to serve as their buddy. The buddy’s role is to help them with administrative procedures and, if possible, meet them at the station.

Student life immersion days (Jivé)

In the early weeks of September, staff at the University of Lille are on hand to help new arrivals start the academic year.

Specific presentations, as well as meetings in the relevant faculties/departments, are organised to guide new arrivals on campus. These also give students the chance to discover the services available: advice on accommodation, social security coverage for students, healthcare, transport, etc.

Various activities are also organised on campus: artistic workshops, games tournaments, sports activities and a chance to discover student associations.

International Student Week !

Each year, International Student Week sees participation from both international and French students. It’s an opportunity to establish new links and celebrate the University’s international diversity with sociable events.

This year we are looking for new French and international ambassadors to help us organise ISW. If you are interested, you can write to us at:
