Come on an exchange programme (Erasmus+, ISEP, BCI...)

Universite

The University of Lille participates in several programmes: Erasmus+ (Europe), Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (outside Europe), Swiss European Mobility Programme, BCI (Quebec), Utrecht and ISEP networks (Australia, United States and Brazil), MAUI (United States) and AEN (Australia). It has also signed more than 400 bilateral agreements with universities in more than 40 countries worldwide.

These mobility exchange programmes do not lead to the award of a diploma, but allow participants to validate their diploma in their home university through recognition of the acquired ECTS credits. They last for one semester or a maximum of one year.

How to apply

  • First you must be selected by your home university, which will send us a confirmation email.

  • We will then send you details of the application procedure and you will be asked to complete our online form, upload the required documents and send the completed application to the address indicated (depends on chosen area of study).

  • If your registration request at the University of Lille is accepted, you will receive confirmation by email.

Application deadlines:

  • 15 May for a one-year stay or for the autumn semester

  • 1 November for the spring semester

Note: if you are a national of a country outside the European Union (except Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein), you must request a visa from the French consular services in your country. Visas are mandatory for all stays of more than 3 months, and without one you will not be able to register at the University of Lille.

Language skills

If you have been selected for an exchange programme, it is assumed that you have sufficient skills in French or English.
All nominated students must be able to prove at least level B2 of language proficiency under the CEFRL (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) in the language in which their chosen course will be taught at the University of Lille. You will be required to include in your application form a document that proves your level of proficiency (official certificate, statement from a lecturer in your home university, or OLS test for Erasmus+ students).

Once you have arrived, you will have the opportunity to improve your level of French with the intensive and periodic classes offered by the University.

Academic transcript

At the end of your mobility period, we will provide your home university with a transcript of your grades and the number of ECTS credits obtained.

French universities use a grading system scored out of 20. Students must achieve at least 10/20 to pass an exam.
