10 specialised Masters in mathematics, computer science, data science, physics, nanoscience, biotechnology, philosophy and psychology are part of the Graduate Programme

You will acquire a solid foundation in reading and writing argumentative texts and will be equipped to take part in contemporary philosophical debates, in particular relating to the information and knowledge society. You will be qualified to work in research and teaching, but also journalism or communication.

You will become an expert in the normal and pathological functioning of neurocognitive and affective processes. You will benefit from in-depth academic training in psychology and cognitive neuroscience with applications in healthcare for the diagnosis and management of cognitive and emotional deficiencies. This course places great importance on the involvement of digital technologies in neuropsychological intervention (virtual reality, connected devices, assistance technologies, etc.). You will be qualified to work in the healthcare and social sectors, as well as research & development in the private sector.

You will become an expert in cognitive science with a solid foundation in psychology in the worlds of computer science and behavioural science. Emphasis in this course is on cognitive, affective and language-related processes, as well as on the relationships between perception and action that enable each of us to interact with other individuals and environments, whether real or virtual. Upon graduation, you will be equipped to design human-machine interfaces that account for the physical, physiological and psychological specificities of humans. You will be qualified to join the R&D department of a company.

This interdisciplinary course aims to train physicists, microsystems students and biologists in modern quantitative and integrative approaches to living systems and to provide them with general knowledge in cell biology, life imaging, systems and computational biology, and microsystems. Courses in project management, experimental design, data analysis and scientific communication will also be provided. The concepts of biological information and biomimicry will also be covered.

You will be trained in the design and programming of embedded systems in order to optimise their cost while guaranteeing safety and robustness. On completion of the course, you will be able to work in the aeronautical, railway or automotive industry, in industrial robotics, to design intelligent devices and more generally connected objects.

You will obtain a thorough and solid training in fundamental and applied mathematics in the following areas: analysis, numerical analysis and partial differential equations, geometry, probability and statistics. You will be prepared to work in research and to pursue a doctoral thesis.

You will be able to understand models based on physics and industry, and design and use optimal simulation methods to solve them on supercomputers. This includes the digital integration of partial differentiation equations, parallel and distributed computing, and GPU programming. Specialisation in computational science is much sought after by companies today, comparable to the role of data scientist.

You will acquire the knowledge you need to contribute to research and the development of breakthrough technologies in micro energy sources, super-fast wireless communication, material applications of artificial intelligence, sensors and actuators and the tools for their manufacture. All of these advanced technologies are essential for the intelligent electronic systems of the future. Upon graduation, you will be qualified to work in R&D for major microelectronic firms, SMEs or academic research units.

This program offers physicists the chance to specialise in optics and its applications for lasers, telecommunications, cold atoms and the study of complex systems. You will learn how to analyse a scientific problem as well as model and describe a physical system, in both theoretical and experimental terms. You can choose from classes with an emphasis on complex systems or on communications, combining photonics and THz wireless communication.

The first year provides you with a solid general background in physics. The second year focuses on photonics, complex and quantum systems.

This programme focuses on data processing and machine learning and the interface between mathematics, computer science and signal processing. There is currently a high level of demand for qualified data scientists in R&D and industry, linked to the rise of artificial intelligence in several sectors (transport, healthcare, marketing, civil engineering, Industry 4.0, videogames, etc.).

This course will give you a solid foundation in mathematics (statistics, probability, optimisation) and computer science (algorithms, complexity, databases) with an emphasis on statistical learning and connected disciplines (signal and image processing, graphs and networks, etc.).

IF YOU ARE A PhD STUDENT

Check the available thesis topics published by the Graduate Schools and contact the thesis supervisor beforehand.

There is no specific procedure for joining the Graduate Programme as a PhD student. Only an agreement in principle between the Graduate Programme, your supervisor and yourself will be valid provided that you have a thesis subject in line with the research themes of the Graduate Programme
